The cave serpentsaur split from its ancestors in the Savanna to move into the desert. It has changed for this new environment in three major ways. First of all, its pigment has changed to better blend into the white desert sands, but you might notice it's not completely white, this is because of the second change. Instead of changing to survive during the hot desert days; the serpentsaur has become nocturnal to hunt during the cooler nights. During the day, serpentsaurs sleep in the Rabid Sandstone Caves; where its newly increased eye size helps it see well. Because it only hunts at night, a complete change to white pigment is unnecessary. Finally, it has grown yet another small spike on the end of its tail to increase its deadliness and to discourage other organisms from attacking it from the back.
