The cave sack foi split from its ancestor and moved to the Darth Lava Tube Sea Caves. Living in the caves have forced them through some changes. The most subtle but radical is that they now have primitive nervous cells. These cells are a cluster of nuclei that control motor functions.
Their tentacles have also gone through improvements. They are much longer and are covered in packed with acid-spewing organelles designed for digestive aid. The tentacles are highly dexterous. It uses these to obtain food in a unique way. It presses these up against layers of oxidetine on the wall and slowly scrapes down. The acid carves pieces of the outer layer off and puts them into its digestive chamber. The creature is then free to continue stuffing its sac at its leisure, so it can feed more efficiently and more often. The "Skirt" of its ancestor have changed as well. The rear end has many paddle like lobes, and the side has two main steering "fins".
