The cave capiri has split off from its ancestor, the capiri. It has migrated to the Martyk Sandstone Cave. The range of colors it can change to has become more subdued to blend in with the cave. Its sail has become slightly luminous so that other cave capiri can see it, while its vision is also slightly improved so that it can see better in the dark. Its feet have developed tiny claws to help it grip the sandstone, and to squash the few animals it eats.
