Ancestor:Descendants:

The carnivorous sea finworm split from its ancestor, the sea finworm. It feeds on its relative the herbivorous sea finworm, jet worms as well as some beakworms. It has a few differences from its ancestor. The first most noticeable feature is that it has evolved small proto-teeth which it uses to eat meat now. It actively hunts other marine creatures. The other is one eye on its back is now on a small eyestalk and faces forward so it can see where it's going. The eye has evolved into a compound eye as well. Many fins move in a wave motion when swimming and it can actually swim quite fast, but not as fast as the jet worm. It lays its eggs in the purple sea bubbleweed. Unlike beakworms it must come up to the surface for air.
