The calciochavus split from its ancestor, the lithoamoeba, and moved from the Barlowe Water Table to the Ninja Sandstone Caverns. It evolved to draw Calcite (CaCO3) from the sandstone and by chemical methods extract the calcium from it, releasing CO1 and CO2 to the caverns' atmosphere in the process.
