Where there weren't tasty silkworms to eat, the Plenthog branch was a little less subtle in its feeding habits. Abandoning the plant portion of its diet, it has taken to eating anything that moves (provided it is smaller), including other plent species. The hard plates originally used to chew tough plant matter have become ideal for crunching the shells of buttworms (though buttworms still kill the occasional plenthog) and for chomping bites out of fleeing stilt plents. Brutish plenthogs still eat carrion, but their ravenous appetites aren't satisfied by the meager number of food species which die naturally.
