Some golden pakahes got a real taste for blood, and some started to eat other pakahes as their main food source. These became the brown pakahe, the new predator of Huggs Island. It is big enough to bring down prey as big as the burrowing pakahe, as well as reach up to the tops of islandshrooms and attack pakkos. Its legs are longer for help in a chase, and also stronger, so it can grip the ground if it has to invade a burrow, where its long beak also comes in handy. The "saber teeth" have become real weapons now, being used to dig into a victim as a final attack. Sex is all about the colored tail fins, as the beaks have become browner and more camouflaged like their bodies, blending in with the ground and the shroom trunks their prey lives around. They dig burrows to sleep in and store food, and their memories are good enough to usually remember where they dug them. They still forget sometimes though.
The brown pakahe split from the golden pakahe.
