The boreal supershroom split from its ancestor the supershroom. It has migrated from Huggs Temperate Rainforest to Flisch-Krakow Boreal. It adpated to higher elevations and colder winters. To help spread faster it now grows bright red spore berries which attract frugivores with its bright color. Like its ancestor the trunk and cap have no natural pigment and become whatever color it eats. In this case the brown decaying organic matter in the soil. It is an important part of the boreal ecosystem since it helps reduce the decaying matter in the area.
