Ancestor:Descendants:

The blue-spotted riverswarmer replaced its ancestor, the river swarmer. It has specialized in eating the microbes in the mid-water. Its mouth is huge so it can gulp up large mouthfuls of microbes. Its blue spots help it blend in with the water as well as confuse predators when in swarms. The green is used for photosynthesis. They spawn in the spring and live in large swarms combing the mid-waters for microbes.
