Ancestor:Descendants:

The Bloister replaced its ancestor, the chunky zoister in all areas except Otter Vents and outcompeted its relative the zoister into extinction as well. Their pincers have altered to have a stabbing scoop and a bristled filter, they scoop sand and then filter it through the bristles into their mouths the prevent unwanted or large grains of sand from passing through their digestion. They also consume debris and carrion. The bloister has lost the counterbalance of its ancestor and rather readjusted so that its six legs can support its round body, most of which consists of reproductive organs. They produce thousands of capsules of spores that they stick onto rocks, flora, each other, and any nonthreatening organisms that pass by them. Through this method they successfully spread through the oceans of Sagan4 claiming their niche.
