Ancestor:Descendants:

The blind earback replaced its ancestor, the cave earback. Now with no light in the cave it has become completely blind. All pigment in its skin is also gone. It has also become amphibious again and will sit in the water hunting cavamari. It will sit and wait listing for splashing and using tiny hairs on its tail to feel for movement in the water. Its back feed are webbed for swimming as well.

It also eats albino serpentsaur eggs but since the number of albino serpentsaurs have been dwindling they had to find a second food source. Like their ancestors they lay their soft-frog-like eggs in the pools of water that lead to the water table. Once they have laid their eggs they will grow, hatch and they will come on to land to search for eggs like their parents.

The blind earback will make their homes in crevices on the floor and lower walls of the cave and pools of water. They can climb around suing their claws when escaping predators. Their tail is prehensile and can hold on to rocks and boulders.

They are not social at all and only meet during mating season. If another blind earback is at the same nest eating eggs it will try to scare the other one off. Usually the bigger more aggressive one will win.
