The extinction of the desert nobomaton, azeraptor and azelak sprinter left the cave serpentsaur without any large prey. This nearly killed off the cave serpentsaur, but the species was eventually able to recover by shrinking in size (mainly because its prey was smaller as well). The snout on the albino serpentsaur has elongated to help it snap up fast moving creatures and its highest pair of eyes have become larger and more sensitive to help it see in the limited light of the deeper caves. When too near a light source it can lower semi-transparent (just really thin membranes actually) eyelids to protective the more sensitive eyes. The word "albino" refers to the serpentsaurs' whitish coloration, which has lightened to help it blend in with the white limestone of the Rabid Sandstone Caves. It has of course replaced its ancestors, since it they would have starved otherwise.
